I swear by the regular La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo so when I heard they had made a new formula that was supposed to be even better, I knew I had to try it. The new and improved tube is supposed to not only help oiliness and breakouts, but also heal the marks left behind afterwards. This is a problem I suffer with majorly so felt I was a good one to judge the effects this really has on the skin.
The formula of the La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo+ is pretty much exactly as the old one (read my review here) and I do think it has been helping my dark marks/scarring so that is great! However, I have noticed I've been getting the odd spot here and there since switching to this one which I hadn't been getting before. I haven't changed anything else in my routine so I'm not sure why this is, since switching back to the original Effaclar Duo it has been clearing up again.
The only thing I can think of is that the Effaclar Duo+ does have parfum in which I know my skin doesn't agree with. I don't have the box of the original Effaclar Duo to see if that too has parfum in too but it has to be something that is in one but not the other. If your skin is not as sensitive as mine I'm sure you'd prefer the + version as opposed to the original, I may try it again in a few weeks time and see if the same things happens, I just hope I can get some back ups of the original as my skin seems to prefer that.
