My Christmas party look with George at Asda

xmas party with george at asda

The festive season is edging closer and closer, this year seems to have absolutely flown by! I honestly cannot believe it is nearly Christmas again.. not that I'm complaining, I love this time of year! If you're a fan of Christmas too and are heading out for a Christmas party, maybe with work or friends, here's a little inspiration for you. I put together this outfit in collaboration with George at Asda and their dress range.

I love George's range of clothes as a whole, they are always spot on with the fashion and trends but their prices are so affordable. I also love how you can sneak a few items on top of the grocery bill so you're partner doesn't notice ;)

For my Christmas party look, I chose this gorgeous black sequin dress. I have always wanted an all over sequin/glitter dress but never gone for it. I love the fact it has sleeves as it is so cold in the evening I couldn't be out in anything too skimpy! (that the Mother in me talking now!!) I love the neckline, I think it's quite flattering regardless of your chest size. It's also a modest length; not too short so is mummy appropriate! The subtle pattern would also help disguise any little lumps and bumps you may be conscious of.

To accessorise, I chose some little black sandals and personally I need an ankle strap to hold me in my shoes! I find with basic court shoes my feet just slip out no matter what size I get. The embellishment also adds to the party look.

I chose the red bag as I wanted to add in a touch of the Christmassy colours and not do the all black look. This one is a great size for all the essentials. I finished off with a gold scarf as it serves two purposes.. it can act as an extra layer if you're walking too and from the party but also adds a different dimension to jewellery and brings another christmas colour to the outfit.

What would you wear?
