Everyone knows how tempting it can become to overspend when you arrange family holidays. However, it’s also possible to spend less than most people imagine if you think outside of the box and use some of the ideas from this post.
Look for last minute deals
The cheapest way to go to some of the most exotic countries in the world involved making sure you’re flexible when it comes to the dates you travel. It’s usually possible to find some fantastic last minute deals online if you don’t mind which day you get on a plane. We have just booked one and opted for the Monday as it was the cheapest day to go in half term.
Stay in the UK
There are some excellent holiday destinations in the UK, and so there is no need to spend a fortune on flights. Maybe your children would enjoy a weekend away camping in Scotland this summer? It’s just as fun as spending time in Spain, but without the price tag. Or try Butlins, or Weymouth?
Haggle with your travel agent
Lots of people don’t realise this, but it’s possible to haggle with travel agents in most instances. Those people have lots of flexibility when it comes to the amount of money they charge. So, check out the infographic below and see if you can learn some of the best techniques.
